Effects of Dietary Blend of Algae Extract Supplementation on Growth, Biochemical, Haemato-Immunological Response, and Immune Gene Expression in Labeo rohita with Aeromonas hydrophila Post-Challenges

In this study, the effects of a mixed algal blend (Chlorella vulgaris, Euglena viridis, and Spirulina platensis) at different levels were evaluated on growth, hematological immune responses, expression genes in Labeo rohita against post-challenges Aeromonas hydrophila. Fish samples fed diet containing (0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.04 0.08% basal diet). At end feeding period, fish challenged with A. hydrophila mortality was recorded over 14-days period. To evaluate serum biochemical (albumin, globulin), parameters (Hb, RBC WBC) (neutrophil activity, lysozyme myeloperoxidase antiprotease ceruloplasmin bactericidal activity), as well (NKEF-B, Lysozyme C G, TNF α, TLR22, β2M, β-actin), sampled Day 7, 14, 21 28. virulent 30 days post-feeding mortalities post-infection. Results demonstrate that showed total body weight gain, specific growth rate, protein, globulin, hemoglobin content, white blood cells, neutrophil, lysozyme, bactericidal, myeloperoxidase, activity dietary algae blended application higher than control (p < 0.05).
